Will housing be available?
Albuquerque Grooming & Academy does not rent housing but there are several apartment complexes within walking distance. Some rents are $450 (+/-) with utilities for a two bedroom unfurnished apartment to $420 (+/-) per month for a studio apartment with utilities and furnishings.

May I bring my pet to work on?
All students are encouraged to groom their own pets. These pets must behave and not cause problems within the school.

What if I get sick and miss hours?
You will be able to miss 120 hours of excused absences while taking the 560 hour course before being dropped. You will only be able to miss 40 hours of unexcused absences before being dropped.

Will there be job placement after graduation?
Albuquerque Grooming & Academy makes no promise of employment.

Will I need more equipment to complete my course?
Every effort has been taken to give the student a complete equipment list which is adequate through graduation. There are always items wanted but will not be needed. You may, however, need more Kwik-stop and Cool Blade as you use up your supply. You also may need to periodically sharpen your blades and scissors and the cost is from $4.50+ on most blades to $9+ on most scissors.

How much can a groomer make in income?
This depends on how many pet you can groom in a day, please see financial security page.

What if I need more time over the 560 hours to complete the course?
You will have up to 720 hours to complete then you will be charged $6.50 (plus tax) an hour until you can groom 4 pets in 8 hours.
